Uncasville is home to the
Mohegan Sun Casino which has 179,500 feet of
gaming
space that can hold over 6,000 slot machines and 192 gaming tables. They
offer dining,
legendary
entertainers
and major
sporting events, including boxing, retail shopping,
and for family fun, The casino is run by the Mohegan
Tribe.
The casino's $800 million expansion, code named Project Sunburst, is the
largest private development on the East Coast. The casino expansion includes
a real 2 story waterfall, new retail and entertainment space, new
restaurants like Michael Jordan's Steak House , a 1,200 room, 34-story hotel,
and the Mohegan Arena, a 10,000 seat auditorium that will host world-class
entertainment and sporting events as well as trade shows and
conventions. The number of slots was increased from 3,665 to 6,201. Read
